Fung “The Ice is Talking” featured in Best Classical Albums of 2023

December 25, 2023 by Bill

Steven Schick’s “Weather Systems II: Soundlines,” was featured in a NY Times article as one of the best Classical Albums of 2023. The recording includes Vivian Fung’s work for percussion and electronics, The Ice is Talking. This stunning work requires the performer to play on blocks of ice, and had a deep connection to the composer’s Canadian childhood in Edmonton.
